How To Use the Prayer Guide

Northown’s Mission is connecting “communities to Christ and His family through encouraging relationships, teaching, prayer, mentoring, and serving; while experiencing God’s grace, love, and mercy, powered by the Holy Spirit and the Word” We are starting with prayer. The purpose of this prayer guide is for each one of us to focus on people in different areas of our lives that we need to go join in spiritual warfare of prayer. When we pray for people we really care about, we pray more earnestly, sincerely, and more often, with greater discernment than when we pray for people we vaguely know. Sincerity of prayer contains far more power than the words in prayer. On the following pages there is room for 3 people. Pray for these individuals daily what battles are they going through, and what do you need to change to build the relationship so that they can see Jesus in you. Pray for people by name and need.

When the Church Prays

When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God. “Sovereign Lord,” they said, “you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them. Acts 4:24

Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. Acts 4:29-31
