Corn and Brat Roast
It’s always one of the big events of the year. The Northtown Corn & Brat Roast was held on September 9, right after
services. Good food. Good fellowship!
Milwaukee Area Church of Christ Picnic
The annual Area Church of Christ Picnic was on August 18. This was a repeat of an event that has become an
institution among sister churches in Southeast Wisconsin. Here are some photos from the 2004 picnic.
Young at Heart Gathering
“Young at Heart” means not necessarily young in years, but not over the hill either! A group of the more mature
Northtowners met at the church building on August 25 at 10:00 a.m.
Youth Campout at the Becker’s
A campout for all 7th-12th graders (and any college-aged) was held on
August 24th-25th. At 6:00 p.m. on Friday the 24th the group left the church
building to car pool out to the Becker’s.
There was all sorts of food, fun, and fellowship on Friday evening and Saturday. They returned to church
about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, the 25th.
Kids ‘R His Event
On Saturday, August 18, the Kids ‘r His group traveled to a State Park, leaving at 9:00 a.m, and returning at 6:00 p.m.
Love, Sex & Marriage

Seminar, Friday, September 21, 2007, 7:00p.m.-9:00p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, 9:00a.m.-3:00p.m.
It was led by Joe Beam, Chairman and Founder of Family Dynamics, here in person at Northtown.

Dominican Republic Mission Meeting
The Dominican Republic Mission Team meet August 25th at Anne Redford’s to plan the 2008 trip to
the Caribbean nation.
Northtowners Bike for a Good Cause
August 11: Wheeling for Healing, a bike riding fundraiser. Lisa Bane, as usual, organized it, and
there was a good turnout from Northtown.
Connección Latina
An ongoing ministry: at 12:00 noon on the last Sunday of every month, Northtowners gather with Señora Lisa Bane to brush
up on their Spanish. The study is centered around Spanish hymns, praise songs and Bible verses. Bring a bag lunch,
or run out for fast food after church.
Ladies’ Ice Cream Social
There was a Ladies’ Ice Cream Social in the Annex on Sunday, July 22nd, from 11:45 - 12:15.
Under the leadership of Renee Russell, the women planned a variety of activities and programs.
Kids ‘R His Trip to Zoo
Kids ‘R His (4th – 6th Graders) went to the Milwaukee Zoo. after Church on Sunday, July 15th.
Meeting Life Head-On Seminar and Pot Luck
Our first “Meeting Life…Head-On!” Seminar was held Sunday, May 6, at 1:00 PM. The topic was
“Healthcare Power of Attorney: Its Meaning and Value to You.” Our guest speaker was Peg McGonigal, Cardiac
Chaplain at Aurora St. Luke’s. This Seminar was important for people of all ages. One of the many great things
about a Healthcare Power of Attorney, people learned, is that these don’t require an attorney!
There was also a Pot Luck on May 6.
Dominican Republic Mission Trip Planning Meeting
On Saturday, May 5, there was a meeting of Northtowners interested in Dominican Republic mission work at Anne
Redford’s from 9-11 AM.
Young At Heart
The Young at Heart group met at Northtown on Saturday, 4/14, at 10 AM.
2007 Vacation Bible School at Northtown Church
The theme was "Fruits of the Heavenly Fair," the 9th Annual Vacation
Bible School held Sunday, June 17 - Thursday, June 21 from
7:00 - 8:30 p.m. each evening. The church auditorium was
converted into a county fair and featured the return of the
bumbling Professor and his sidekick, Tex as they used a time machine
to illustrate the lesson of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Also
appearing were super heroes Evangelator and Gospel Girl. Puppets,
Bible skits, songs, games and refreshments filled out the program each
evening. As was usual, about as many parents and other adults as kids attended
this exciting event.
Dynamic Marriage Reunion
The Marriage and Family Ministry sponsored a Dynamic Marriage Reunion Celebration
Friday, March 16, 7-9 PM at Northtown Church. Alumni came to join in an evening of romance, entertainment,
live music, socializing, and refreshment.
Book Signing: "Leaving Lambert"
At Northtown, on March 3, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., author Gloria Jean Richmond signed copies of
Leaving
Lambert, the story of her journey to find God, starting in a small Mississippi town.
Copies of the book were available for sale, with proceeds benefiting the North Delta Youth Development Center.
Memorizing a Bible Passage
Memorizing is easy for some people, and harder for others. But a game bunch of Northtowners came to participate
in "The Word Will Dwell In Us." On Sunday, March 4, at 1:00 p.m. Northtowners gathered to recite passages of
scripture that they had memorized.
Sunday Night Live
Sunday night live is an area-wide youth event, which on January 21 was hosted at Northtown. About 50 kids from four
congregations met at Northtown for a night of fun, singing, a spiritual message, and a supper of tacos and baked potatoes.
