Joint Church of Christ Picnic
The annual Church of Christ Picnic was held at Kletzsch Park on August 19, uniting all the sister congregations in
the Milwaukee area. This is now the fourth year that Northtown has participated, and it was as
good as the 2003, 2004
and 2005 events!
Wheeling for Healing
Once again the Northtown Church Life ReCycling Team rode to support the Cancer Center at Community Memorial Hospital.
Riders could choose to ride 4, 15 or 32 miles, and the ride was on August 12. Lisa Bane organized the event, and
led a large Northtown contingent.

And the event, for youth from all over Wisconsin was planned and executed by Northtown youth! Kudos to youth
leader Jason for bringing this off.
Kids 'R His Ice Skating
For kids in the 4th, 5th and 6th grades: an ice skating event at Red Arrow skating rink on Water Street on Saturday, February 25th. Led by Vicky and Ken Robertson, it was great fun.
Ugly Tie Sunday
No, that's not a typo. February 26th was the Sunday for all men to wear the ugliest tie they could find. Why? The ugly tie symbolizes the fact that God sees the ugliness we have on the inside, yet if our heart still longs to serve and please Him, then He is willing to overlook our sins and weaknesses, while giving us time to deal with them.
Youth Traveling Devo
On March 3rd, a spiritual event that gave the lesson in a different way. The Youth Group went Madison, for a joint event with the The Emmaus Fellowship. The youth traveled around the city, with a prayer in one location, a Bible reading in another, and a devotional message in yet another.
Southside Youth Rally
A three day event, at the Southside Church
of Christ, with guest speaker Wiley Lowe, took place March 17th-19th.
A City Set on a Hill
The Northtown Church Women's Retreat for 2006 was held at the Inn on Woodlake, Kohler, Wisconsin, March 31-April 1. It was a wonderful weekend of prayer and study, sharing and Christian sisterhood.
Youth Photo Rally
This fun event, on February 17th was a variation on a scavenger hunt with kids interpreting clues requiring them to find various locations around the city, do a specified activity there, and take a photo of it.
Ladies' Night Out -- Game Night
On January 20th women met at the Godsey's home and brought a favorite board or card game
and a treat to share.
