Fourth Wise Man

The video "The Fourth Wise Man" was shown on Wednesday evening, December 28, during the regular evening Bible class time (7:00 p.m.).

Women's Night Out

The second ladies' night out was on Friday, December 16th at the Monroe's house. The event included an ornament exchange, with each woman bringing an ornament valued at under $5.00 (wrapped) and a batch of her favorite Christmas cookies or candy.

Youth Christmas Party

On December 16th, the event began with a trip to Wal-Mart, and a scavenger hunt, all for the purpose of coming up with toys to be given to Toys for Tots.

Christmas Banquet

December 11th was the date for the Northtown Christmas Banquet. As usual, Northtowners met at homes (at 4:15) for appetizers, and then at the church building for desserts and entertainment, supplied by talented Northtowners!

Tea-rific Women's Retreat Planning Session

Women of the congregation were invited to the kick-off event for the Northtown 2006 Women's Retreat. Meeting Sunday, December 4th in the Annex, women had tea and learned about what's planned for next year's Retreat.

Young At Heart Breakfast

The recently formed "Young at Heart" group first met on Saturday, October 22. The age range in the group is from the low 50s to the upper 80s. The group's second meeting -- a breakfast -- was on Saturday, December 3rd at 9:00 a.m.

Kids 'R His Bowling Party

On Friday, November 25, the Kids 'R His group (4th, 5th and 6th grade kids) met for a bowling party. It was all girls this time out, and several got strikes -- sometimes without even bouncing the ball off the bumpers! The evening ended with a Bible lesson and pizza. Ken and Vicky Robertson led the outing.

Christian Rock: Power of One

"Power of One" is a Christian rock festival in Green Bay. About 30 Northtown youth and adults drove north on December 12th for the all day event including bands, a pizza bash and seminars on sharing Christian faith.

Youth Group Harvest Party

Documentary: Beyond the Gates of Splendor

The documentary movie "Beyond the Gates of Splendor" was shown in the auditorium on the night of Wednesday, October 5th. This 40-minute film chronicles the events before and after five missionaries were killed by a rain forest tribe.

Cedar Point Amusement Park

A group of Northtown members went to the Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, OH. They left on Thursday morning, August 18 and returned on Saturday evening, August 20. This was a roller-coaster lovers dream outing, let by Craig O'Leske.

Corn & Brat Roast

Sunday, September 11, was the date of the annual Northtown Corn & Brat Roast. Not only was there roasted corn and grilled brats, but a varity of dishes including salads and desserts. It was a hot sunny day, with warm fellowship too.

Joint Church of Christ Picnic

Saturday, August 13, 2005 from 11:00 a.m. in Kletzsch Park, Areas 5 & 7. Members of sister churches from all over Southeasters Wisconsin enjoyed the same delicious menu as last year, including ribs, burgers, hotdogs, chicken, all the trimmings and great deserts. This is the same event that was such a huge sucess in 2004 and 2003.

Free Indeed Weekend

Free Indeed had a very busy but very edifying weeking at Northtown:
  • Saturday, August 13, 10:00 a.m. -- 2:00 p.m. Workshop covering music ministry, AV/Sound ministry, and drama ministry.
  • Saturday, August 13, 5:30-7:30. Public concert at Vincent High School.
  • Sunday, August 14, 10:00 a.m. -- Praise and worship service at Northtown.

Life ReCycling Team

The Wheeling for Healing ride to support Community Memorial Hospital's Cancer Center was held Saturday morning, August 13, from about 9:00 a.m. until noon.

Northtown Camps Out

Scheduled July 22nd- 24th at Mirror Lake State park, Wisconsin Dells.

Mirror Lake State Park offers a wide Variety of fun activities for the entire family including; excellent fishing, swimming, canoeing/kayaking, wooded campsites, picnic areas, a boat landing, biking, hiking and a whole weekend of great fellowship.

Youth Group Mission Trip

Vacation Bible School — Pioneer Adventure

On June 19-23, The Professor, the Evangelator, Gospel Girl and the Time Machine were all there! Nominally for children aged 2 through grade 6, Northtowners of all ages (and many guests) came to enjoy. It was as much fun (and had as much sound gospel teaching) as the 2003 and 2004 editions.

Reflect Outing

The Reflect group (teen males) had an outing on June 4th, going to see the latest Star Wars movie and then to the Monroe's house, where the group enjoyed a devotional, food and games.

Youth Night

Northtown Youth gathered at the church building on Friday, May 27, for an evening of fun both outdoors — and when the rain hit — in the building.

Ladies Retreat

The Ladies Retreat was held April 29-May 1, 2005.

Youth Group Fundraiser — Coffee House

Easter Pancake Breakfast

Northtown's annual Easter breakfast was held Easter morning, March 27, from 8:00-9:15. The menu included pancakes, tasty sausage, hot coffee, cold milk and refreshing orange juice.

Kids 'R His Bowling Outing

The 4th-6th grade youth group had its first outing of the new year on Saturday, January 29th. The group went bowling at Brown Deer Lanes (Bradley & 47th).

Kwanzaa Celebration

Northtown hosted Imani, the last day of Kwanzaa, with the celebration starting at 5:00 p.m. on January 1 at the church building. All were invited, members brought a dish or a talent to share, and some wore ethnic attire.

Power of a Praying Woman

The ladies of Northtown Church came together on Saturday, January 1 at 10:00 a.m. for a time of prayer that lasted until noon. This was a special time of prayer spent focusing on children, marriages and family. Several of the women joined the organizers for lunch at Tumbleweek afterwards.

Praise Team Fellowship & Potluck

The Praise Team held a family fellowship night and beginning-of-the-year potluck dinner on Saturday evening, January 8th from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the basement of the church (Fellowship Hall). Current Praise Team members and those interested in joining attended, and brought a dish to pass.
