Minister:
Bud Palmer
Bud
Palmer is one
of the full time ministers at
Northtown. He and his wife,
Nancy, moved to the
Milwaukee area in 2003 and
placed membership at
Northtown in 2009. Bud
was previously a minister in
Missouri, Oregon, Puerto
Rico, and Illinois after
receiving training at Ozark
Bible College. Nancy has
also served in various
churches and on the
mission field in Indonesia.
She now works in health
care and participates in
many of Northtown’s
ministries.
Bud is able to use his
previous full-time work as
a minister to contribute to
Northtown’s current
growth needs. He is
liaison to the Growth
Group program, Simple
Church implementation,
Facilities program,
Northtown’s stewardship
components, special
fellowship, hospitality,
communications, and cocoordinator
to the building
master planning.
Bud says “God is looking
for people who are willing to
follow His leading. Our
plans seldom measure up to
His, our methods are
inadequate, and our vision
is extremely limited.
Solomon wisely advised,
‘Trust in the Lord with all
your heart and lean not
upon your own
understanding. In all your
ways acknowledge Him and
He will direct your
paths’ (Proverbs 3:5,6). I
have found his words to be
true and practical, both in
personal and church life.”
Elders:
Corwin Russell:
Corwin Russell, a counselor for a local university, Corwin Russell is
also an elder at Northtown. Corwin and his wife Renée, who is employed
at an insurance company, grew up in the same church in Milwaukee
before coming to Northtown in 2000. Comments Corwin: “I am motivated
by the heart of Samuel; his response, his attitude. When the Lord
called, he said ‘Here am I, speak Lord, your servant is listening.’ I
want to have that same attitude. I want to have the same response
Samuel did!”
Dave Spenner:
David Spenner, a member of Northtown since attending a Corn ‘n Brat
roast event in 1991, Dave Spenner serves Northtown as an elder. He is
retired from law enforcement and now works as a state homeland
security project manager. His wife Marilyn works as a nursing director
in a local hospital. Dave says, “I was raised in a Christian family
and believe that I made a commitment to God when I was a youth.
However, it wasn’t until our family came to Northtown that I
discovered the opportunity to have a deeper relationship with the
Lord. I find it exciting to be with others who work in His service
with all their strength.”
Ed Wewel:
Ed Wewel is one of the elders at Northtown. Ed has served in the
United States Air Force and has been employed in the airline industry
since 1983 as a General Manager. His wife Cindy enjoys being a
homemaker and part-time office assistant. Ed and Cindy have been
blessed with the wonderful opportunity to serve at Northtown since
they moved to the Milwaukee area in 1992. They have three children. Ed
says, “The greatest thing that the Lord has done for us was to allow
us to see all three of our children baptized into the fellowship of
our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
