Ladies’ High Tea at the Pabst Mansion
October 22, 2011, Northtown ladies visited the Pabst Mansion for a very traditional (and very classy) high tea. Of course, they wore their fanciest hats for the occasion. Many also toured the historic house.
Neighborhood Carnival
Date: Saturday, August 13th, 10 am. - 2 pm., at Northtown Church (7000 N. 107th Street).
There were games, face painting, a bounce house, dramatic presentations and all sorts of fun!
Also, since school will be starting soon, there were free school supplies, and gently used children’s clothing free for kids who need an extra outfit or two for school.

Teen Guys: Masterpiece Car Show
The Timothy Club visited the Masterpiece car show, held at the Veteran’s Park on the Lake Michigan shore. The show featured hundreds of exotic and collectible cars. There were 14 participants in the outing. After being rained out, the guys retreated to Pizza Hut to reflect upon what they saw (including the 8 track player that Corwin pointed out to the boys) and to plan the next outing, a video game night, that will be held on the 18th of September. Tim Anderson will looking to reestablish himself as the top video-gamer of the congregation after suffering a crushing defeat to Farshad last year. Many are referring to it as the “the best rematch since Ali / Frazier!”
Bad Tie/Hideous Hat Contest: July 25, 2010
This is the second time we have done this at Northtown: men are encouraged to wear a really ugly tie, and women a really hideous hat. It’s just a reminder of how, without Jesus, our sins are hideous and repulsive. But with Jesus, we are pure and beautiful in God’s sight.
